Parachutes Over Motueka

Biggest thrill for the crowd which attended the air pageant organised by the Motueka Aero Club during the holiday period, was the free falls made by four parachutists over the Motueka aerodrome. On this page we feature two of the skydivers, Jock Fullerton, of Christchurch, who has made 250 jumps, and Mac ("Ginger") McQuibban, president of the newly-formed Nelson Parachutists' Club (123 jumps), Both jumped from 7200ft and did a 30 sec delayed opening at 2000ft.
