For the second successive year the Nelson under 18 men's basketball team won the New Zealand title, this year at Christchurch. In two years the team has not had a loss. We got them hare straight after the final: (won 60-34) Brian Reierson, Colin Morris, Dave Taylor, Andrew Harding, Brian Strong, Keith Wright (coach), Michael Gay (capt), Peter Harford, Kevin Elliott, Warren Russell, Ian Day.
