With bowler hat sitting at the correct angle on his head and with hie umbrella impeccably furled and his tie knotted in the Windsor style, Mr L. N. Heath stepped from an aircraft at Nelson airport with Mrs Heath and then collected the wager he is holding in this pic. Somebody was unwise enough (indeed he didn't think it was a vewy wisky bet) to make the wager that Mr Heath would not return to Nelson after his six months' overseas tour attired, as above.

John Vandenberg and Willem Borgdorff (top) married Gerda and Nellie Van Oosten and came to Nelson. Last month their wives' parents came to Nelson to see them and while here celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They are seen here (middle) with their grandchildren, daughters and sons-in-law.
