Plunket Society's 50th Anniversary Cabaret

×

Fifty years of service to mothers and children in New Zealand. That's the proud record of the Plunket Society, and after this length of time it was only fitting that work should be forgotten for a time in favour of fun. And that is just what everyone who attended the jubilee cabaret had. The society decided on an oriental flavour for the function and the costumes of geisha girls and some magnificent decorations certainly lent an air of reality to the festivities. Just inside the entrance a giant golden Buddha dominated the hall (left) and even cameraman Geoff Wood (above) was suitably dressed for the occasion.
