We're talking about that beautiful and well-known musical the "Desert Song'', to be presented by the Operatic Society this year, The Red Shadow is being played by John Purnell and Margo by Barbara Lane. We'll let you in on a secret. "Desert Song" is going to be a beauty.

Hard frosts have followed the heavy snow-falls on the Tasman Range and the surrounding hills, but one thing we're assured of here in Nelson, is beautiful sunny weather later in the day. And what could be nicer than a game of golf in such picturesque surroundings as the Nelson Golf Club's course at Tahuna. That's where we found Joan Gausel and Joyce Helleur.
