Bridge Tournament

Bridge players from as far as Auckland came to Nelson for the Nelson Contract Bridge Club's open tournament last month. Altogether 42 pairs competed in the Nelson Women's Club rooms. Most successful players were Dr and Mrs W. J. Hutchison, of Wellington, who were the overall winners, and winners of the 1st and 3rd sessions. Dr Hutchison is president of the National Association.

Winners, Mrs C. M. Clarkson (Blenheim) and Mrs V. Robinson (2nd overall), Dr and Mrs Hutchison and Mr and Mrs R. C. Mordaunt, Nelson, (second session and third overall).

Roy and Marjorie Simpson, former residents of Richmond and former Nelson Club members, came down from Auckland for the tournament.
