These two pix of signs sited on the main Blenheim-Nelson highway by the new rubbish dump (left) and at the airport, are cases of misplaced (or mislaid) apostrophes. Is it not about time the apostrophe in "Welcome's" was deleted, or at least transferred to the "Sunshines" on the top sign? Or if the top sign does not mean that the sunshine is best in Nelson but that it is in Nelson that the sun shines best, should not this word become two? Two very small but at the same time grammatically important points. After all, these signs point the way into Nelson and are seen by thousands of travellers each year.
