Licensed Victuallers' Ball
One of the highlights of the ball season in Nelson is the Licensed Victuallers' do, and this year's ball in no way fell below the standard set in other years. A tremendous amount of work went into the decorations and alcoves – each of which carried the name of a local hostelry.
Hard at work on the decorations were Doug Robertson, Reg Blake (president), Bill Homan, Stan Prosser (Secretary) and Tom Homan.
