New Launch for Nelson

In the last couple of years several big pleasure cruisers have been launched in Nelson. Now, within a few weeks, another will slide down the slipway to join the evergrowing fleet of pleasure craft. This one is the 28ft cruiser of mine host Jack Stackhouse, who with Hughie Wells has been working on its construction for the best part of 18 months. The boat has a 9ft 3 in beam and a 2ft 6in draft. The vessel will sleep four, is built of kauri and when we got these pics was having its 100 h.p. dieael power unit installed. Top and bottom pics were supplied by Mac McLaren.
