Beach Racing

Driving his powerful Stuart Special, Neil Stuart raced away at the start of the South Island beach racing championship at Ta-huna over Queen's Birthday weekend, and received no serious opposition from that moment on. In winning this race, Stuart retained the title. His win was so obvious that spectators looked for their thrills to the duel between K. P. Stephens (Ford Special) and L. J. Mackle (Willy's Special).
