Benefit Rugby Match

To swell the Peter Banham fund, a benefit Rugby match between the Buccaneers and a Nelson Xv was played at Trafalgar Park. Unfortunately the weather didn't prove very kind, but still about £120 was raised. The game itself was bright and despite the conditions there were some excellent handling movements for so early in the season. The result was a win for Nelson 31 - 8.

Hands up who wants the ball - at least D.Apted (Buccaneers) and J. Bishop do because they're jumping.

N. Fitzsimmons seems to have got the worst of the dispute with J. Shultz even though he still has the ball.

W. Kotua manages to get a high pass away before being stopped by D. Elkington

Bishop breaks through with ball at toe with R. Jonas as support and E. Coleman as opposition

Green's really bought it this time with M. Delany and Bell combining to bring him down.
