During the height of a storm late last month, the hull of the old scow Talisman broke her mooring wires and began to drift out of the Haven. She was captured, however, and tied up to the wharves before being returned to her mooring position on the mudflats.

Welders put the finishing touches to the bulk oil delivery pipes which have been installed at Port Nelson. These pipes will considerably speed up the discharge of oil and petrol from visiting tankers.
