Twenty-six young men and women who have been teaching as probationary teachers in Nelson district schools were presented with their trained teachers' certificates at a function in the Intermediate School at the end of the last school year. Several Government vehicles were put up for auction just before Christmas and drew an interested crowd of buyers and spectators. The vehicles, all in going order and in some cases in very good condition, brought very reasonable prices. The car, a popular six-cylinder model, sold for only 260.
