Tennis Titles

The Nelson Provincial Lawn Tennis championships drew excellent entries, many of them from outside the province. Many of the final games were very hard fought, and the men's singles between V. Stubbs (seeded two) and B. Baxter (seeded three) was a particularly fine contest, Baxter taking Stubbs to 16-14 in the second set before losing.
