Plunket Mothers Have a Night-out

Members of the Stoke Plunket Mothers' Club celebrated their ninth birthday with a party, preceded by fun and games in the Stoke Hall. We were invited along to see Big Chief Whoosit and his harem of squaws perform the famed Plunket Dance, and of course, we took a camera. We were also treated to a mime of Saturday afternoon at the "pitchers" and a most amusing and clever rehash of broadcasting programmes.

At the pitchers, with long-suffering Zoe Ching barely putting up with the carryings-on of Dot Tilley, Marie Campbell (dad), and St. Trinian's type, Elma Dixon.

This mirth was occasioned by a simple little story about an old lady and a fairy god mother, but it convulsed Margaret Koefoed, Barbara Loveridge, Shirley Gully, and Joyce Reay and an unidentified Plunket mother.
