New Red Cross Rooms

A red letter day for the Nelson branch of the Red Cross was the opening recently of their new rooms in Haven road. The old house purchased last year has been extensively renovated, particularly inside, and as well as the usual relaxing facilities, there is a large packing room. At right is the Nelson branch committee, Miss D. Hayes, Miss Russell, Mrs W. Morgan, Or K. M. Emanuel (president), Mrs J. Barraud, Mrs H. Cromie (secty), Mrs F. H. Greenwood, Sister L. Brown, Mrs G. The 64-year-old A-class keeler. Rainbow, was brought by its new owner, Mr L. H. Dimock, from Auckland to Nelson recently. The 50ft yacht has been raced with a great deal of success in Auckland.
