The girls of Nelson College are determined to get that assembly hall. Under matron Mrs Winterburn, a party worked for a day on the orchard of Mr George Morris, Kina Beach, This pic, showing Mrs winterburn on the tractor, and the girls, was taken by Helen Morris without the knowledge of the girls.

Work on the new gates at the Golden Bay Recreation Park has almost been completed. Of Takaka marble, they are an eye-catching sight on the road in to Takaka, At left and right, the plaques explain the reason for the gates. Pics taken for us by Laurie Gibbs.
