Stoke Schools' Gala
The Stoke and Nayland Road schools combined to raise funds for amenities for their pupils at a gala at the Stoke school. Every possible means of extracting the odd bob from the odd bod was used and in all respects the day was voted a huge success.

Nayland Road fathers, Phil Chisnall, Keith Wells, Brian Daly (head), Ken Lockett and Chris Palmer took tug honours over Stoke parents.
