Megan Richards, a 17-year-old Seventh former, from Hillmorton High School, Christchurch, won the national final of the Royal Overseas League's secondary schools' public speaking contest from 12 other finalists, in Nelson, recently. Here, Megan is flanked by third place-getter Philippa Mclntyre (St Mary's College, Gisborne) and runner-up Kerry Harper (Hamilton Girls' High School). Their subject was "Do women need lib. To what?"
