On the night of the Hardy Street fire, a fireman, Rory Byrnes, racing to the scene, was involved in a collision with another vehicle near the intersection of St Vincent Street and Washington Road. This is one of the cars involved. Below - A girl injured in the accident is assisted from the scene. No one was seriously hurt in the accident and Mr Byrnes was treated and discharged at the hospital
