Playcentre Day School

Response to a day school conducted by the Nelson Playcentres' Association was excellent, and supervisors and trainees from as far as Picton attended.

Now you might think this is some sort of pagan rite. Or an American cheer squad warming up. Actually it's supervisors and trainees participating in "motivation through movement". We think that the ladies, in this case, each represented a moving part of an engine

Pat Braley, formerly of Arizona, where she was a member of Parents Co-operative Pre-School International (similar to Playcentre), with Miss Noeline Hanson, Education Dept's adviser to junior classes, and Barbara Collins, district music adviser

Mr R. W. Duston, district adviser in arts and crafts, with Mrs Anne Day, supervisor at the Appleby Play-centre and convenor of the instruction school
