Gold Cup Day At The Trots

The two-day Winter meeting at the Richmond Park course was held in ideal conditions and a large crowd was treated to some excellent racing. The feature event on the first day, the Caltex Gold Cup over two miles, was won by 'Barbara Del' from 'Courtnal' and 'Calm Sue'.

'Barbara Del' leads the field home to claim the Caltex Gold Cup. In a close race for the minor placings 'Courtnal' (No. 4) edged 'Calm Sue' (No. 3)
