A section of the large gathering which attended the official opening of a Baptist Church hall at Stoke. The hall, a converted house on the main road, is used for Sunday School classes in the main.

Returning by air from their honeymoon, Mr and Mrs Brian Jewell saw as they passed overhead that something had happened to their new home at 74 Green Street, Tahuna. But when they arrived at the house, they found this - a sort of extra wedding gift from friends. At right is but one of the tastefully decorated windows.
