Gala Went On Despite Rain
A fund-raising gala at the Holy Trinity Church, Richmond, was not dampened by heavy rain. The organisers just moved most of the show indoors, and on it went. Money raised will go to a charity.
Between showers, 'Penny' the pony was available for rides. On board is Eleanor Jackson, and making sure 'Penny' keeps moving is Jill Shaw
Enjoying a cuppa — Mrs R. M. Loe and Mrs W. Nicholson
Running one of the stalls were Mrs R. Newlove and Mrs V. C. Newport, and it appears they have a customer in Mrs P. Kendrick
Victims in the wet sponge shy (that's like a coconut shy, only softer) were Michael Newport and Warwick Smith
