Arnold–Bradey. A feature of the wedding gown worn by Elizabeth Jane Bradey, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. J. Bradey, Songer Street, Stoke, was that it was hand-woven by her. She was married at St Barnabas's Church, Stoke, to William Arthur, son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Arnold, Hira. The attendants were Cathryn Wavish, Wellington (matron of honour), Robert Palamountain, Wellington (best man), Barry Kilalae, Nelson, and Barbara Arnold, Auckland, sister of the groom. The junior maids were Katherine Hunt and Ann Stewart, cousins of the bride. Future home, Wellington. (Cooper-Sharp).

Wells–Neame. At St Paul's Church, Brightwater, Thelma Joyce, only daughter of Mr and Mrs S. H. Neame, Spring Grove, to Douglas John, only son of Mr and Mrs A. C. Wells, 3 Kauri Street, Stoke. The attendants were Yvonne Elvy, Nelson, and Allan Grant, Stoke. Future home, Nelson. (Rod Neill Studio).
