Plunket Fair a Winner
The annual Tahuna Plunket fancy dress and baby show was once again a popular event with the children and their parents. There was a wide variety of costumes in the fancy dress contest and judging by the eagerness to buy chook raffle tickets, the venture would have been a financial success.
Here's an interesting array - Alan Hart was Robin Hood; Leonie Atkinson looked every inch a cowgirl; Judith Robinson was a nurse and her brother Andrew went as a young carpenter. At the right is Emma Hart dressed as a fairy.
Young Shane Morell does not appear impressed with his win in the 15 to 18 month section. Mum Vivien is pretty proud about it.
Linda Robinson refused to obey her mother and kept her fingers in her mouth while the photo was taken. "It's a free world isn't it?"
Here we have Marianne Black as a blushing bride, Stuart Moulder was able to tell everyone the time and Hamish Black was a flop-eared rabbit
This is where our money went. No one could refuse Ray Douglas's cry . . ."C'mon, a chook for a few cents."
Ron Clements poses proudly with his young "bride"Sandra (3½).
