Trafalgar Centre Progress

Foundation work is progressing smoothly at the Trafalgar Centre project and gradually the public will be able to see where all the money is being spent, as the centre takes shape. The construction should be finished in about a year.

A five-ton beam is lifted away from its mould. This beam, and others, were made on the site, using wooden boxing. Driving the crane is Kelvin Monopoli and at the far right is Malcolm Pocock. Nearest camera are site foreman Ray Fothergill and Brian Mayers
