Adding a touch of glamour to the field day at which the flexifence was demonstrated is Dorothy Tapper of the Motueka office of the Department of Agriculture. Dorothy's job was to collect names of farmers at the field day to ascertain attendance, etc.


Guess who's an honorary member of the Nelson Bushcraft Club? It's grinning Mike Coyle of 2ZN. Mike won (by dubious means) the club's Supporters' Cup from Brightwater publican, Amby Ryan. Trevor Smith, a "paying" club member, was on hand to give the cup, and certificate, to Mike


Winner of the Cadbury, Fry, Hudson Mothers' Day contest was Shirley Heath of Pokoroa (left) who gained for her mum, Mrs S. Heath, $250 worth of apparel from Haywrights. Presenting Mrs Heath with the voucher is the Nelson-Marlborough representative of Cadbury, Fry, Hudson, Mr Weir, and next to him is the manager of Haywrights, Mr R. D. Gilchrist
