You might have seen this car in Nelson when it was on its way to the Levin track. It is a Sid Mk I and home-built in Rotorua by owner Jim Aislabie (standing with the machine), Colin MacDonald, now in Nelson, and Frank Haenen, Rotorua. Below-The car makes an impressive sight on and off the track. It has a five-speed gear box and is powered by a 3.8 litre Jag motor. Speed: In excess of 150 mph if required.
Occasionally the pressures of modern life become too much for young people and they resort to all sorts of escapism. This young chap has a novel approach to the whole set up - indescribable. The expression was recorded for history by Ross Hollyman.
