Blood-Curdling Shriekers

Burglar alarms, lone prowlers or frustrated peacocks? The four peacocks of Isel Park have been called all these names, and many more by residents whose sleep has been disrupted by the piercing cries of the birds. Some residents even described the shrieks as "blood curdling". Maybe so. But there are two sides to the issue and "Photo News" ventured into the domain of the peacocks, against the advice of some who considered the birds dangerous. Especially as it was mating season. While not exactly hospitable the peacocks, nevertheless, were not antagonistic. We went to find their views and here are their comments. (A suggestion, and one the peacocks would probably consider sound is: If they are making a noise because it's mating season and they are frustrated, why not give them hens. Sounds fair enough).
