During the year logging contractors in Nelson contribute to an end-of-the-year fund for their employees and come the end of the working year this fund is spent on a terrific spread at the Belgrove Hotel. We were invited along this year to see the bushmen enjoy their annual jamboree. And what a time they had! The food was fabulous (wild pork, etc.) and the long tables groaning with goodies were filled twice during the night. The hungry bushman (Above) thought the pork bones just beauty.
