Brian Lochore at Employers' Evening

All Black captain Brian Lochore held a big audience captive when he spoke on the 1970 tour of South Africa at the annual Nelson Jaycee employers' evening recently. It was pleasing to see he spoke his mind and made no attempt to dodge any "dodgy" questions thrown at him. During the evening the chapter made its annual awards to business houses in recognition of outstanding service to Jaycees during community projects they were undertaking. The awards were presented by Jaycee president, Hanley Bowater.
