Nelson Bays Lose to Queensland
Queensland's strong-running and cohesive pack, backed up by fast, tricky and hard-driving backs, overshadowed Nelson Bays when the two teams met at Trafalgar Park two weeks ago. Queensland had its second win of its tour, 13-9. This was a match which Nelson Bays could have won. But our backs relied exclusively on kicking as a means of penetration and this, ill-directed, nullified the excellent work of the forwards. As well, Trevor Morris had an off-day with his goal kicking. Had he been up to his usual high standard, he could have won the day for Nelson Bays.

"Thanks mate" we can almost hear this Queensland forward exclaim as he gets around the ruck quickly to collect a feed-back
