The way to raise money today, so we're told, is to get a sponsor. To do that, however, you have to have a gimmick The gimmick of the Wakefield Town Hall committee was a walk from Murchison to Wakefield by five keen types (LEFT). They were Bill Crowe, Norrie Thomas, Lynne Robinson, Stan Russ and Cliff Burnett. And it worked. They got sponsors to guarantee them $1150.
