The World of Sport

The winter sporting season is now well upon us and until a couple of weeks ago grounds were extremely hard and fast and sore feet were not uncommon. All codes are now well into their championship fixtures, although the school holidays have tended to disrupt the programmes a little.

Remember the pouring rain of May 9? On that day Wakatu met Richmond in the women's hockey competition and we print some of the pix here. Conditions were unbelievable.
