Cathedral Organ Dedicated

For six years, the great organ of Nelson Cathedral lay silent while additions to the cathedral were being made. Last month, the reconstructed, enlarged and tonally revoiced organ was heard again when, during a dedication ceremony, a recital was given by noted Christchurch organist Miss Ellen Armitage. The organ has added even more beauty to the interior of the cathedral. Work on the reconstruction and enlargement was carried out by the South Island Organ Company, Timaru. It is now valued at $80,000.
