Popular Golden Bay Resort

The Golden Bay district abounds with little coves and gently sloping beaches, not the least popular of which is Paton's Rock, pictured here. Quite a little settlement has grown in this beautiful little bay, only seven miles from Takaka. In the left background can be seen the bluffs of the quarries at the Golden Bay Cement Company's works at Tarakohe.
