Amateur Cycling

Marlborough riders gained the three top placings in the Nelson Amateur Cycling Club's 25-mile road championship to Spring Grove and return. Nelson's junior champion, Ian Ward, was fourth. J.Holloway coasted home an easy winner, notwithstanding the loss of a 50-yard lead and some leeway when he missed a turning point at Spring Grove.
