Winning Form

Two Nelson touring teams returned home recently to victors' welcomes. The Nelson Y.M.team (above) returned from Invercargill after winning the New Zealand Y.M.C.A. older girls' tournament, and the Nelson under-16 soccer team (left) returned with the South Island Minor Associations' cup from the tournament at Dunedln. The Y.M. Team above comprised Mrs J. Perriam (chaperon), Suzette Perriam, Susan Muncaster, Noeline Harris (capt), Kaye Bryant, Anne Webby, April Craighead, Judith Cumming and Judy Fenn, with John Dunlop, coach of the Richmond-Waimea Y.M. team, as manager of both teams. The Richmond-Waimea team (below), a new team, didn't take any trophies, but gained valuable experience. It comprised Judith Short, Raewyn Wooster, Susan Jury (capt), John Dunlop, Dianne Woodhead, Jennifer Short, Vivienne Howarth and Suzanne Watson (absent).
