Historic Old Buildings

While the attention of all Nelsonians has been focussed on the fate (and now demolition) of the old Provincial Building, two other historic old buildings in the same grounds have all but escaped notice. One of these, we believe, the old magazine (above) is due shortly for demolition. Both these buildings are as old as the Provincial Building itself. Until recently the magazine was used by the army for the storage of explosives. The other old building, now used as an implement shed, was once the city morgue. It, too, will probably be demolished before long.
