Meet a couple of welders from Reliance Engineering, Clem Jobson and Stan Barrand. Clem is widely known in Rugby circles in Nelson. He's played senior Rugby for Celtic for the last seven years. Clem is an Australian, he's married with one child. His other interests include tennis. Stan also is married and came to New Zealand from Leeds, England, 16 years ago.

If you want to know anything about travel, see Penny Dick and Allison Russell, consultants with the Burns Philp Travel Agency. But be quick if you want to see Penny. She's off to Auckland. Both are single girls. Penny is keen on sport and water skiing in particular, and she plays piano. Allison came to Nelson from Greymouth 8 years ago and likes to swim and play tennis. Understandably, she's keen on travelling.

Caught during their lunch-hour break on the Church Steps are Lorraine Scowen and Jennie Fenemor. Lorraine is a bookkeeping machinist with the Fruitgrowers' Chemical Company, and lives at Richmond. Her leisure time interests include swimming, reading and knitting and she's a Sunday School teacher at the Richmond Baptist Church. Jennie is a typist-clerk with the Nelson Catchment Board. She's a leader with the Sth Nelson Girls' Brigade and is keen on sewing and swimming.

From Murchison four years ago came Philip James, a clerk with Dalgety New Zealand Loan and Mercantile. Philip, who now lives at Brightwater, plays senior Rugby for Wanderers. He also does a little possum shooting.
