Cobbers. That's the only term which fits this picture of little Tim Homewood, of "up there" (referring to his address, somewhere up Thompson Terrace way). We spotted Tim and his cobber as they had a quiet sitdown in St.Vincent Street on the way to visit a friend. Aren't they just gorgeous?

Not that many years ago, this plump native pigeon would not have dared sit so quietly while man approached. If he had he would have been somebody's succulent dinner. Not today, however, He's well protected.
