A Day At The Races
Fine, warm weather favoured the Nelson Jockey Club for its cup meeting at Richmond, and a big crowd attended the racing on Anzac Day, the first day of the meeting.
Horses leave the barrier in the Gordons Champion Hack Handicap.
Messrs J. D. Gregan, owner of Nelson Cup winner, Every Post, Neil Eastwood,. winning jockey, and Mr Seath (Minister of Internal Affairs).
Trying to pick a winner are Allstair Gardener, John Richards, Brendohn McBride and Jenny McPherson.
Celebrating or commiserating - Eddie Lawe, Anne Godsmar, Claire Uden and Joe Lander.
