Blenheim's Centennial Celebrations

(Photos: Peter Cooper Studio)

More than 2000 people gathered for a hangi at the Koromiko deer park recently (many of them in period costume and many sporting centennial beards), in what was the first of the celebrations held to celebrate Blenheim borough's first 100 years. These pictures were taken as many attending the event stopped at the memorial mark-ing the Wairau massacre on the Blenheim-Picton highway.
