A farewell function was given recently at the Tatapouri Hotel for Miss Shirley Morgan, one of Gisborne's five air hostesses, who has resigned to go overseas

Mrs Maude Bailey, Wanganui, recently celebrated her 80th birthday with a party at Palmerston North, which was attended by her youngest sister, Mrs Hazel Bruce, Parau Street, Gisborne, and her daughter, Mrs Claudia Fischbach, and family, of Hall Street, Gisborne. The Fischbach family, pictured with Mrs Bailey, are from left: Claudia, Dale, Kay, Phil, and Noel.

Miss Rhoena Ward, daughter of Mr and Mrs Don Ward, To Puia Springs, pictured with a koala bear while on holiday at Lone-pine Sanctuary, Queensland, Australia, Miss Ward, who is at present employed by the G.P.O., Sydney, was formerly a radiographer and laboratory assistant at the Te Puia Springs Hospital.

Mr John Berry, son of Mr and Mrs T. H. Berry, Stanley Road, has been appointed television editor of the Auckland Star. Mr Berry is a former member of the Gisborne Photo News and Gisborne Herald staffs.
