Talent Quest Grand Finals

After more than four months of weekly elimination nights, Johnny Cooper's £200 Talent Quest reached its grand finals at which the 12 most popular competitors performed for their final placings before a capacity audience in the Glgborne Opera House.

Decided by popular vote, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd performers were announced the following week, and were presented with their cash prizes of £130, £50, and £20 respectively. The winning combination was an East Coast quintet calling themselves the "L.P's.", with the competent pianist Wyn Smiler in second place, and vocalist Bubby Mills third.
