"New Moon" News

With their auditions behind them, and the leading roles and choruses selected, members of the cast of the Gisborne Operatic Society's 75th anniversary year production, "New Moon", are busy rehearsing the beautiful music, written by Sigmond Romberg with lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Frank Mandel, and Lawrence Schabe, in preparation for their two-week season opening in the Opera House on October 21st.

Also hard at it are the behind-the-scenes workers who are busy constructing and painting the scenery and sewing the costumes required for this full-scale production.
