The Rev. Father John Sheahan who died in Auckland recently after a short illness. He will be remembered in Gisborne for kind and considerate work in his capacity as hospital chaplain for many years up to his departure for Auckland in Sept. 1961.

Two groups of Gisborne's younger citizens used their initiative to advangage during the recent Corso campaign by operating stalls for the cause. During the Kenneth McKella Show which played at the Opera House recently, members of the Gisborne Caledonian Society Scottish Country Dancing Class were included in the pro gramme.....dancing to the music of the Jimmy Shand Band.
