Army in Gisborne

A unit of Queen Alexandra's Armoured Regiment from Waiouru, complete with a Ferret scout car, several heavy trucks, jeeps, and radios, and the latest in artillery, was stationed at the Army-Hall in Gisborne during Queen's Birthday weekend.

While here, they took part in a procession through town, gave several demonstrations of their equipment, and assisted with administration and crowd control at the motorcycle grand prix.
