A female blue moon butterfly, with a wingspread of four inches, taken at Tokomaru Bay, This species, which is common in Australia, has only recently appeared in New Zealand, probably by chance migration.
One of the biggest weddings ever on the Coast was that of Ewarini Matehaere Dewes to the Rev. Anaru Kingi Takurua, who is a well-known minister at the Holy Trinity Church in Gisborne. The happy couple are pictured leaving the church.
The Boys' Brigade formed a guard of honour for the bridal party as they left the church.
